This memorial website was created to remember our dearest David Chapman Sr who was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 20, 1946 and passed away on September 20, 2011. David was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible. He was most proud of serving in the United States Marine Corps and serving this great nation. As much of an outdoorsman and stubborn Marine as he was, he was always called a family man by friends and co-workers. He was a loving husband to his wife Sharon Chapman, an inspirational and loving father to his children Starlene and David and a loving grandfather to his grandsons Evan, Brandon and Kaden. David was mostly known for his warming and humerous personality, as he was always making others around him laugh and smile. Not a day went by around him without a funny joke, a prank or hours full of laughter. David truly enjoyed his life and the people around him. He positively impacted the lives of everyone who crossed his path, and his legacy and teachings still live on peoples hearts long after he has left this Earth. As you visit this page today, do not visit in sorrow or grief, but in celebration and laughter and rememberance of all the great times we've shared with him through our lives. He will forever be missed, but his laughter will long live on the hearts of us all.
